It has been a long week and I'm tired today, so I am pin basting a quilt. I needed something relaxing to do... and this is a "no brainer" activity.
Want to see what it's like inside my busy (sleep deprived) brain? Click here. It's a scary place in there! LOL
Don't know why I am working on finishing this particular quilt today...it was calling me I guess. I am a "quilt whisperer", so quilts do talk to me - remember this blog post from 3 years ago?? This quilt wants to be finished, and I have the backing and binding fabric.
Am I working on my UFO of the month? NO! It's #5 on my UFO list and I don't even have a photo of it to show yet. The only explanation I can offer is that I don't have any workable border fabrics or backing for that quilt yet...need to go shopping tomorrow at the Creative Sisters Full Moon Frenzy.
Yesterday I taught a class on making miniature quilts to the Royal City Quilter's Guild. Lots of creative energy was generated and many great projects were started.
The class looks happy so you must have been a wonderful teacher. Hope your Sunday is relaxing for you.
ReplyDeleteGood for you to make some progress with your UFO's, for me I trying not to make eye contact with them for a while, the guilt would be overwhelming! Your class group looks great!!
ReplyDeletehoping you're all relaxed-great class picture too
ReplyDeletevery pretty colours in your quilt...I really like it.
ReplyDeleteI am not able to have UFOs. They don't whisper at me they yell and I just sew start to finish. I have had the 2 king-sized have other stuff jump in the middle, but I have to know I will finish.
ReplyDeleteAny progress on a UFO is good, even if it isn't on the assigned UFO of the month. Sometimes we all just need to let our minds wander. Glad you had a relaxing day.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to your visit to our guild in London where you will teach us all you know about miniature quilts! Gail
ReplyDeleteFun little insight into your brain. So that's how it works!?!
ReplyDeleteWish I could participate in one of your miniature quilt classes. Looks like fun, and I know you'd be a great teacher!
Very pretty colours in your UFO. Looks like it will be a finished quilt in no time at all.
