I hope to do some again this year as I am out and prefer mine to the store bought cans. They just seem better. Oh - lots of pickles will be made this year too I hope. Just need the blooms on the cukes to start turning into something. The beans and peas are producing though and the corn is looking good.Deb Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04206921657695916898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34488264.post-37635761221377396582012-06-08T20:04:05.847-04:002012-06-08T20:04:05.847-04:00I've never made dandelion jelly but it sounds ...I've never made dandelion jelly but it sounds very interesting, would like to try some. I tried a new twist on strawberry jam this year. It was balsamic-lemon thyme strawberry jam. We are surely enjoying it. Did a google search for the recipe.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34488264.post-43369617839855393212012-06-08T15:35:00.775-04:002012-06-08T15:35:00.775-04:00I am going to try to pickle some beets in a week o...I am going to try to pickle some beets in a week or two. first time canning for me.Carrie P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10063988589711911820noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34488264.post-57301933585274747852012-06-08T07:02:05.516-04:002012-06-08T07:02:05.516-04:00We have rabbit troubles too - I have already lost ...We have rabbit troubles too - I have already lost several bean plants because of those critters. I will replant this weekend and put some chicken wire around the bed the beans are in. Hopefully, it will help to keep the rabbits out.Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14826354433338717185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34488264.post-42046049788640695572012-06-08T06:47:59.421-04:002012-06-08T06:47:59.421-04:00My husband made dandelion jelly several years ago....My husband made dandelion jelly several years ago. He picked dandelion blooms and picked dandelion blooms. It didn't make much but it was a pretty gold color and resembled honey taste wise. He even bought the little jelly jars to put it in. He loved to give it to people. He hasn't said anything about making anymore.dorthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18017391172686742385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34488264.post-49248283841207812032012-06-08T05:56:02.249-04:002012-06-08T05:56:02.249-04:00Your jams sound yummy....I have never made jam bef...Your jams sound yummy....I have never made jam before but would love to try one day.<br />Hugs KhrisKhrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07318399656260019333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34488264.post-75037321354195753032012-06-08T01:09:34.935-04:002012-06-08T01:09:34.935-04:00Have you tried blueberry lime jam? I stick to the basics and make strawberry, raspberry (I grow those two fruits) and sometimes some apricot if my parents' neighbor is giving away the fruit from their tree.Janet O.https://www.blogger.com/profile/05083607398709252597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34488264.post-72690742175636916852012-06-07T21:05:04.452-04:002012-06-07T21:05:04.452-04:00May your Hope Angel bring you a good harvest!May your Hope Angel bring you a good harvest!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02045429847824522054noreply@blogger.com
