It's finally Sunday - a day of rest, reflection, renewal, and slow stitching! Why not join us as we get out our hand stitching projects and put in a few relaxing stitches?
I have started a new project to take on a family camping trip in the hopes that some folks might be persuaded to try stitching.
I hope someone (besides me!) will enjoy adding some stitches to it, and want to continue when they go home. This is called The Great Outdoors Band Sampler by Stitching Cabin. I'm still at the auditioning thread stage to see what will show up well on my 14 count PEI sand dyed fabric made by Chantal at Paint with Stitches.I have all the recommended DMC colours, but am experimenting with adding in some specialty/hand dyed threads just for fun!
I'm really looking forward to stitching more on this new summer camping themed project today.
What are you stitching today? Please link up your blog post below!

You have picked an on theme project for your family camping adventure! I hope you can convince others to add a few stitches.
ReplyDeleteI hope someone at your family camping trip picks up the stitching hobby.
ReplyDeleteThe Great Outdoors design is perfect for a camping trip! I love the rows of different motifs, and the calming colors in it. It will be fun to see if someone else is inspired to stitch on it. Have a wonderful Sunday, Kathy!
ReplyDeleteI hope you tempt others into stitching!
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to start something new. Don't give up on getting someone else interested. It took me 21 years to get My Girl interested in embroidery.
ReplyDeleteThat's an interesting sampler. Enjoy your trip and your stitching!
ReplyDeleteHello Kathy! Thank you so much for hosting this link up and, in previous posts, discussing how slow stitching is good for our mental health. Also, it helps us to be still as we recover from various health issues. :)
