Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party!
Unfortunately your host is under the weather this week and won't be much fun. I succumbed to Covid early in the week with the usual symptoms (sore throat, cough, headache, fever, exhaustion, loss of taste and smell) and haven't been able to do any stitching at all. You know I'm really sick when there is NO stitching going on!
I have been catching up on reading quilting blogs which has been a real treat. I haven't been leaving many comments mostly because it has been too taxing, but know that I appreciate YOU and all your stitching, writing, photography and blogging skills!
Somehow I had previously missed seeing a beautiful summer sewalong project that Aurifil threads is hosting called "Stitching Kindness". I discovered this project on Anorina's blog called Samelia's Mum where she is beautifully stitching her words in a variety of thread colours to match 30's prints. I am dreaming of starting this project and many others as soon as I can sit up in bed!
In spite of a bedridden host, the party goes on, stitching continues and we look forward to seeing your slow progress - here's the link...
I am sad to read that you are not feeling well, Kathy, having succumbed to Covid and all its nasty repercussions. I do hope you are soon feeling better. The stitching of words in pretty thread colours does sound pretty. Take care, and hopefully you are stitching up a storm very soon.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Kathy, I do hope you get over this dreaded Covid very soon. Doesn't sound like much fun at all. Get well soon. So far, we have managed to steer clear of Covid, while several people we know have been sick, plus a couple ending up in hospital. Thank heaven for the RAT tests, we have had several over the last months, in fact the last one was at the hospital before I went to see the specialist, so far all returning a negative result.
ReplyDeleteOh No Kathy!
ReplyDeleteThank God the symptoms are mild and you've been vaccinated.
Take care of yourself.
I will be checking the sew along project, thanks for the tip.
I’m sorry to hear you have been sick. You know you are not well when no sewing gets done! Hope you are feeling better and back to your projects soon. Take care
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon. Enjoy all the virtual stitching and gets lots of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Hope you are on the mend soon, Kathy!

ReplyDeleteOh I am so sorry that you are ill. I wish you a speedy recovery. My husband and I are doing our best to avoid COVID. We've been lucky so far, but I am sure it is just a matter of time. I hope you are back to stitching soon.
ReplyDeleteoh no sorry to hear you have covid - I have not heard of many any more that have the loss of smell and taste anymore mainly I hear are the cold like symptoms. I hope you will recover quickly -
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope you are better soon!!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope rest is helping and you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, feel better Kathy! Thanks so much for still hosting the stitching party! It truly is a highlight in my week!
ReplyDeleteOh Dear, so sorry to hear you are under the weather with this awful virus. But you are a trooper to carry on with this hosting! I hope you'll feel well enough to pick up needle and thread very soon, Kathy.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon, Kathy! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry the Covid bug has invaded and hope you feel better soon. After all, those mysteries and QALs won't get done by themselves. I remain one of the diminishing number who haven't caught it yet, but I know it's only a matter of time.
ReplyDeletePat
Poor you, I hope you feel better soon and manage a stitch or two soon!
ReplyDeleteOh Kathy, I'm so sorry... this new variant is not responding to vax I hope yours is a short case at least not long covid. Don't feel like you have to do anything but what brings comfort, and I'm impressed and grateful you set up the party for us. Thank you, wishes for a speedy recovery. LeeAnna
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you got COVID, I know personally it is no fun. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. Bummer...hope you are all well soon!
ReplyDeleteGet well soon.
ReplyDeleteUgh! That is too bad--this variant is so contagious but doesn't seem to be putting people in the hospital. The doctor I work for got it after he and his wife were on a cruise, both fully vaccinated.
ReplyDeleteHope you are not having to work while you are sick, that stinks.
I hope you feel better soon. Won't it be wonderful to feel like sewing again?!
ReplyDeleteOh bummer, Kathy ... I'm so sorry! I pray you're feeling better soon and you feel up to stitching again sooner! :)
ReplyDeleteHope that covid nasty is almost gone. You will be on the mend and ready for the Piranha weekend. I am so looking forward to that weekend and having you all here at my house! Take care!
