Scrappy Saturday

It's a great day for cutting scraps!

Cathy who blogs at Crazy By Design called the Rainbow Scrap Challenge participants "Scrapettes"! I love that! I am claiming the title of a scrappette and this is what I made in purple scraps this week.

Waffle blocks 5" on the left, easy breezy blocks 4" in the middle, mini arrowheads 3.5" on the right, and two pinwheels 2.5" on the bottom (that might turn into a placemat). Lots of scrappy goodness!

I'm in the quilt studio today "cleaning" and you just know that means I'll be falling into a rabbit hole of a random project that I find and "have to" work on!

  1. You have a nice variety of RSC projects in progress and they're all made with very small pieces of fabrics! Have fun cleaning, that's what I'm going to do now too, time for the vacuum!

  6. Yay team! Go Scrapettes! LOL. It sounds more lighthearted than Scrapinators. You’ve sure whipped out lots of cute purple blocks so far! Those Arrowheads (I have the directions) are on my short-but-ever-growing list for RSC’22.

  7. Lots of pretty purples on your wall, Kathy! We'll all be curious to see what you uncover when cleaning the studio. I need to do some of that, too!

  9. Lovely use of purple. I love purple, but have surprised myself by not playing with it as much as I expected. Too many other colors keep jumping back into my view.

  11. Hum, scrappettes? Does that mean we also dance while we make our crazy cool purple blocks? You've made a nice selection of purple blocks -- but they are mostly so small!
