Welcome to the weekly hand stitching party! It's time to put your feet up, relax, and put some stitches into your favourite project. Just breathe and stitch, even if just for a few moments.
I finished and gifted my knitted guitar face/dish cloth. The pattern is from Knitwits. I love the ease of ordering their patterns and the easy to follow instructions (no affiliation, just a happy customer). And they make such a perfect little gift to let family and friends know (especially during our 3rd Covid lockdown) that you are thinking of them.

What are you hand stitching today?

The dishcloth is lovely, a zoom wedding seems very strange but I suppose there is no choice, I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHow strange life has become to think that we now attend weddings via zoom; but it is the new normal, isn't it. Those masks are sweet and cute guitar on the dishcloth. Fill your champagne flute, raise it to the happy couple and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad that you are unable to attend your neice's wedding, but at better safe than attending a funeral in the future. Enjoy the new way of celebrating. I am prayin that the situation stays steady here un the US so that we can celebrate my son's wedding in person next April. Love the face/dish cloth.
ReplyDeleteLife is strange, but it is as normal as possible under the circumstances imposed by Pandemic.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to the couple!
The musical dish cloth looks cute.
Happy slow stitching, Kathy!
You do such a great job with those dish cloths, Kathy. And all that binding too. Yes, I would agree the happy couple should just go ahead with their wedding. No way of knowing when this will end for us here in Ontario.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to finish up the binding on your scrap quilt and the fun dishcloth, too! I hope you enjoy the wedding - at least there is Zoom for that. I'd never heard of it before Covid. Now we all use it!
ReplyDeleteSuper dishcloth with that guitar knitted right in there!!
ReplyDeleteA zoom wedding--how life has changed for sure...stay safe and enjoy your slow stitching this Sunday...rainy, raw, and windy here -- not at all like Spring--even the weather has changed...hugs anyway--Julierose
As most of the US reopens and parties away, it must be very frustrating to Canadians to look on and wonder when such freedom will come. Hopefully your niece can schedule a celebration later for all to attend. So now that the Sisters quilt is done what will you tackle next?

I haven't attended a Zoom wedding yet, just a You Tube graduation for my grandson Friday night. Great washcloth. My husband would have loved that!
ReplyDeleteWe attended a zoom wedding las t November...I am making the Love Birds cross stitch picture for their wedding gift. I’m thankful for zoom and other technologies which still allow us to be there for these special milestones. Neat guitar facecloth! I have not done any knitting lately. I need to get back at it! Very cute bride and groom masks!
ReplyDeleteWe attended 2 Zoom weddings back last March (2020) when our nephew and our niece both got married within weeks of each other. This has been a difficult time for couples. We get to attend an in person wedding later this month (outside).
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun dishcloth! Love those musical notes! Pretty backing fabric as well!
