April UFO Goal

My goal for April is to finish all my UFOs.

Just kidding...  couldn't help myself!

April Fool's Day!

But just think of what that would be like to have no UFOs and be completely caught up with all your projects. That would be a strange life indeed.

So seriously.... my project for April is to finish the Morewood Mystery quilt from Meadow Mist Designs. I really enjoyed sewing this mystery over the winter using the very bright colours I chose.

This needs to be finished by April 12th to be in the parade of mystery finishes and get in on a chance to win one of the amazing participation prizes

Can I finish this quilt in half a month?

We shall see! I have the batting, the backing and the quilt top ready to go.

  2. Love the colors you used! I've quilted five Morewoods (one is my own) so far and my goal this month is to bind mine.

  3. No UFOs at all? I admire stitchers who can work that way, but it's certainly not me. I have half finished projects everywhere, plus piles of fabrics for those yet to be started.

  4. Haha! You would be so miserable if you had no UFOs. You couldn't contemplate which one to finish next, or maybe that one. Yep, life would be boring. Good luck with your goal.

  7. I have quite a few UFO's. I'm thinking of seriously de-stashing fabrics that don't speak to me anymore and concentrate on re-visiting some of my UFO's....and letting some go that I don't feel the love for anymore

  8. I find that the quilts (and UFOs) that get finished are the ones with a deadline, so I have no doubt you will finish this one up on time. The only way I will ever get rid of all my UFOs is to give them away and no one would want all of them anyway.

  10. No UFOs, hah! Sometimes I get nostalgic about my Quilty Beginnings, when I picked a pattern, went to the quilt shop and bought only what was on the supply list for that project, and then followed the directions from start to finish until it was DONE! And then several months or a year went by before I picked out another pattern and went back to the quilt shop to purchase only the supplies on the list... I have more unfinished quilts right now than I'm comfortable with, but that's because the projects I choose are so much more involved now that I have to take a break from one technique so I switch to a different project for awhile. Well, good luck finishing your beautiful mystery quilt on time!

  11. A life without UFOs would be amazing, but I'm sure this project will not become one for you. Love those bright spring-like colours.
