Scrappy Saturday

Green Waffles
Last year I started a waffle quilt after being inspired by Nann's project. Since then I have been making a few blocks every month in the Rainbow Scrap colours.

Here are the green waffles made this month. I love how this project uses up all the 1.5" squares!

Here are all the waffles blocks I've sewn. It's a riot of colour! You can really notice the colours that are lacking... more orange and purple, and some teal and light blue.

Linking up to the weekly RSC party

  4. I like waffle quilts - they go together fast and one can use a lot of little scraps

  5. Love that block!! Great way to use up 1 1/2" squares. I've been cutting them for awhile and putting them into a little container, which is going to have to be a bigger container soon lol. This would be a great way to use them up!

  12. Well, I did it! I got out my drawer of 1 1/2" strips and squares and made a little block on Saturday! LOVE, love, love this one. Now I'll have to discipline myself to save them for leaders/enders :-). I will make all kinds of different colours and eventually make it into a quilt. Squirrel!!!!
