Aqua month is getting short changed due to all that is involved in adapting to the COVID19 restrictions.
I am not allowing myself much time to play with scraps these days because so many other things are taking more time, including grocery shopping and learning how to do my work on line.

I never thought I'd see the day that sewing face masks would be the leader ender for my scrap blocks!!

It is a strange new world. Glad that you are able to find elastic for your masks, apparently it is in short supply.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your part in the face mask production! It's SEW crazy to think of that being your leader/ender. Glad you managed some TEAL blocks for the RSC!
ReplyDeleteIt's a very crazy world right now. Hope you are able to figure out the remote working and manage to play with a few scraps a bit too. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are at home and keeping safe and healthy. Been doing lots of sewing to stay sane and some outdoor walks alone with Belle.
ReplyDeleteit is a strange world isn't it when we are making face masks out of quilting fabric! if I make more I will need to make my own strings out of my clover bias maker. I have mailed off plenty to my sisters in the medical field
ReplyDeleteQuilters the world wide are adjusting their stitching time and priorities. Masks are being made globally (hence the shortage of elastic - and warehouses shut down). We are more than willing to be a small part to support the un-sung heros on the front line.
ReplyDeleteGood for you sewing face masks! I have been too. This month has really seen our lives turned upside down, but keeping up with our stitching and visiting online friends really helps. Be safe and stay healthy!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get that pattern from.. I'm not sure which pattern is best to use.
ReplyDeleteThere are certainly strange days we're living in.
ReplyDeleteYour shoo-fly blocks are fabulous.
It seems that we are almost all making masks...I made 12 for our immediate family and mailed them out today..streets were empty of traffic and I was the only car in the P.O. parking lot--eerie...
ReplyDeleteI like your shoo-fly blocks. Very pretty...

I really like your aqua blocks--with the little St. Patrick's Day one in the mix.
ReplyDeleteGood for you sewing masks. Funny that they are your leader/enders. :) Our hospital has not asked for them, that I have heard.
Even though I'm not in a place to give face masks to any medical facility (we're anchored off a very isolated island) I've decided to make some for ourselves. If nothing else, wearing a mask helps me remember not to touch my face. And since I have season allergies, if I happen to sneeze out in public, I'm (literally) covered :)
ReplyDeleteYour Shoo Fly blocks are very pretty! Leaders & Enders of any kind are wonderful because it's double-duty sewing! Have a safe week!
