Guess what is on the design wall this week?!?
A finished quilt top!
Actually it's either going to be a Christmas tree skirt or a table quilt. I haven't decided how to finish it yet and haven't cut the final shape, but I'm very happy with how it turned out. Those star blocks were challenging but they look good from this distance!
This is a Kim Diehl pattern in her Simple Christmas Tidings book. It's such a lovely book and a well written pattern.

That is gorgeous! Not sure what you should do with it...it would make a great tree skirt...except what a shame to have it hidden under presents!
ReplyDeleteThis is absolutely beautiful...all those lovely stars--you did a super job on this...hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteA really fun holiday finish!
ReplyDeleteThose red stars do look challenging. I haven't made this specific pattern, but I have made a similar star and managed to mess up the first one in stellar fashion (get it? Stellar, star?--sorry).
I missed you Monday! Noce Top finish. Christmas is Coming!
ReplyDeleteThose star trees are gorgeous and they do look complicated so a really great finish.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty, well done! I wouldn't be able to cut into it and make a tree skirt, it's just too lovely! What about a wall hanging so you can look at it every day?!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pattern, I will need to check out that book.
I agree with Michelle! How could you cut the hole for the tree? It would destroy that lovely center star! Heartbreaking! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it! It’s beautiful and will look lovely however you finish it. Hugs,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt top.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Kathy. It will make an awesome tree skirt.
ReplyDeleteAwesome top! I can see how you'd be tempted to turn it into a tree skirt, if that's the direction you go!
ReplyDeleteI love this pattern - maybe next year! So pretty Kathy!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I'd prefer the table topper since tree skirts get covered up.
