Welcome to the mid summer hand stitching link up (or mid winter for those down under!)
This week I finished another UFO and enjoyed hand stitching that binding. And then I finished my block for the quilt along starting tomorrow.
These are my starting fabrics and the embroidery threads for this project called Happy Little Things.
You never really know when you pick fabrics and threads how everything will look, but am so happy with how my block turned out.
This is the start of the embroidery block. I didn't like how the gold lines look like they are behind the back edge of the flower, so I went back and restitched in gold thread over that red line at the top. Hope you can stop by tomorrow and see what you think of the finished block.
What are you hand stitching today?
Link up your blog post below and share your project with us!
You have been busy! Looking forward to seeing your block tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteSweet fabrics, looking forward to seeing your next hand project.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric/colour choices you've made for your new project...can't wait to see the first block!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy. I have tried three times to get a link on this site to my blog post, but for some reason it just won't let me link up. I entered all the fields, but then when I hit enter, nothing happens. I did manage to get a post to work several weeks ago, but not sure what I did differently. Any ideas what I may be doing wrong?
ReplyDeleteGot it to work, just had to scroll down a little to find the save button. Hmmmmm, maybe I should not try to do this so early in the morning, lol. Thanks for hosting Slow Sunday Stitching as I enjoy seeing what everyone is doing. Also, love your fabrics and embroidery.
DeleteI've been doing redwork all week. I hope to start putting the little wall hanging together this week.
ReplyDeleteI agree that those yellow lines belong in front. I like those fabrics and floss.
ReplyDeleteYou've picked a beautiful color palette for this project. Happy slow stitching today.
ReplyDeleteGreat work on finishing another UFO! Those yellow lines do look better the way you have done them now. Thanks again for the opportunity to link up!
ReplyDeleteI love those fabrics and I will stop by tomorrow to check out the embroidered block.
ReplyDeleteSo cute.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me happy to finish a project. I am really really happy winning the OFLA prize!! Good luck to me!!
ReplyDeleteMy grandkids make me happy! They fight every weekend on whose turn it is to stay at grandmas house.
