Secret Santa

I have been "working" hard to catch up to the Secret Santa sewalong from Temecula Quilts.
The project started with fabric requirements posted on October 12th. There are weekly instructions posted on fridays, and the layout reveal will be on Black Friday.

Step #1 was quick and easy, but October was so busy for me that I missed step #2. When step #3 was posted last week, I decided to sew that one first and put the pedal to the medal to finish before the next clue would be posted. I finally got these 48 little units finished and here is a photo taken late at night.
Now I'll go back to finishing the 68 nine patch blocks for step #2. But first... I will hop over to Temecula Quilts to see what step #4 is!
Are you making this fun mystery quilt?!?

  2. So many quilts and so little time. I try to wait to see a few blocks to see if they are worth making, and this block is intriguing me into wanting to make this quilt. I am hoping to find some time now to start and catch up with this one.

  4. I am having fun with this quilt along too. There are so many little blocks to make, but I can't wait to see how it all turns out. So glad to see someone else making this. They look great!

  5. I was already driving myself half crazy keeping up with Moda Blockheads 2, Splendid Sampler 2, and Pat Sloan's Merry & Bright, so I was going to skip Temecula's Secret Santa. Then I remembered how much fun theirs usually are and jumped in eyes wide shut :-). I'm lovin' it so far - the steps are easy and go together quickly. We're expecting more snow this weekend, so this week's step will be a good project. Good luck with yours!

  12. Glad you were able to get sorta caught up. It's not fun when real life invades the sewing room. Hope things calm down for you some in November.

  13. I do admire you for nearly keeping up! I would be weeks behind, which is probably why I don't do them. But I love to watch other people's progress!
