Welcome to the weekly celebration of hand stitching! It's the one time a week where we make sure to set aside some special moments for playing with needles and thread. We hope you will join us!
I have pulled out my Life is Beautiful project again. I've been working on it for more than 3 years now. At this stage the focus is quilting these alternate blocks. They are the perfect summer take along project. I have a stack of blocks pin basted and am looking forward to sitting outside today and putting in some stitches.
What is your take along hand stitching project for the summer? Link up your blog post below and share your progress with us.

Wow, that's a wonderful project you're sewing. I had to look at previous posts since I'm quite new to your blog.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the perfect take-along project! Happy stitching. I adore the colors and fabrics of this quilt!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering when Life is Beautiful would come back out to play... Nice to have a few blocks ready to go when the hand stitching bug hits!
ReplyDeleteI have no post for today - I doubt I will even have time to pick up a needle we are on our last day visit with our daughter before we move further north with the motorhome - I have gotten done with a little applique this week and a quick visit to two quilt shops and have the latest copy of Quiltmania magazine where I saw two patterns that I might like to do with hand piecing - if you haven't seen the photo of my "new" antique sewing machine Kathy it is on today's post - I was going to post a photo but it isn't scrappy or by hand lol so I refrained - love what you are working on and I will look at the links day to day this week as we travel if I have wi-fi
ReplyDeleteAgain, thank you for hosting such a fabulous link up! I could spend all day "talking" with fellow slow stitchers! Happy Slow Stitching!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors in your quilt.
Have a great day!
Oh, I love to see these blocks, Kathy. Lovely hand stitching for today.
ReplyDeleteQuilt blocks are a nice lightweight summer project. Hope you get them all done.
ReplyDeleteHope you got in lots of relaxing stitching time this weekend.
ReplyDeleteLove that block you're working on! I need to get a good hand project going again. The one that I do have prepped is not doing it for me!
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy. I have always enjoyed visiting those that link here, and I have done so a few times myself when I have something to show. However in the past few weeks, I have seen other mention they are linking to the Slow Stitching Sunday, but none appear here. Is there a glitch?

Missed the link up this week. I'm not feeling so well; I think I got a bit too much sun on Saturday.
ReplyDeleteCatch you next week for sure. Have a good week. Love the circles.
