Design Wall Churn Dashes

On the design wall today are the swap blocks from Barb's churn dash block swap. It was so fun to get the package in the mail, go through the blocks and admire all the fabrics! Each block is a different fabric and together they will make a fabulous scrappy quilt!

And now it's time to decide on what layout to use. This is the straight set, with no sashing, nothing fancy. I would make 4 more blocks to make the layout 7 x 10 blocks.

But there are so many other options! Sashings, alternate blocks, and what about the blocks on point?!
For now the blocks are staying on the design wall while I admire them and think about the options, and wait for them to tell me what they want to do.
A big thank you to Barb who organizes all this fun for us!

  7. I was in the swap, too. I've put five blocks to use . . . 49 to go. (Hmmm, that's a 7 x 7 setting.)

  10. Oh! You, lucky girl. I haven't received mine yet ... but since you have yours, mine shouldn't be too far behind. Yay! So many beautiful colors. I'm happy to see so many green ones. They are all wonderful. Enjoy the dithering. ;^)

  11. Yummy blocks, Kathy! I went for the modern version and received a lot of great blocks with so many different backgrounds. It will be a puzzle to put them together, I make break them up into different quilts, possibly a tablerunner. Enjoy!

  12. Great churn dash blocks. How do you choose a setting? I like any churn dash block setting, so you can't go wrong. Thanks for linking up with Design Wall Mondays, Judy.

  13. Fun to be had with all those churn dashes. I have not participated in any of Barb's swaps and know I am missing out on some good times. Maybe next year.
