I've only made 4 blocks so far.
Ugh.
I'm entering the 4th day of laying in bed, with my fevered red cheeks, my aching bones, hacking up my lungs, and getting more frustrated with my lack of recovery with each passing moment. I am not a good patient and detest being sick/unable to quilt.

Hop over to the Quiltville mystery link up to see all the wonderful quilts that the non-sick quilters are making!
I really like your color choices!
ReplyDeleteThey did come out very quickly. It flawed a lot of people.
ReplyDeleteI had 5 days of fever, 3 days of sweating after the fever, tummy upset, then absolute fatigue and wanting to do nothing - a total of over 21 days.
ReplyDeleteI feel for you! Like your blocks.
I hate being sick too and so glad I am not. I hope you feel better soon but I know it will be gradual -
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you are not getting your quilting fix. :( Hopefully you will be back to normal self soon.
ReplyDeleteI've heard this flu is really serious this year, so I hope you're taking good care of yourself. Consider seeing a doctor if it gets worse, please! Thinking of you and wishing you well.
ReplyDeleteThis sickness seems to be every where - I do hope things improve soom for you. Getting better is a better goal than completing blocks - they will be there when you are able.
ReplyDeleteHearing about all the sick people makes me want to not even leave the house. This was made easier last week when we had sub-zero temps, but I do need to go to the grocery store later today. And tomorrow or Thursday it's supposed to hit 50°.
ReplyDeleteRest up and get well. Hope you have some good books to read. And then there's all those quilting blogs with even more project ideas.

I am an impatient patient too! Feel better soon. ORL will wait for you. The colors are great.
ReplyDeleteYou're so organized! I used plastic bags to keep my pieces separated. Not very neat! Love your colors! It's so fun to see how everyone's colors are different and how the quilt looks. Hope you feel better! The flu is very nasty this year. Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteI feel for you! I had the hacking cough through Christmas last year. Funny that I am still stitching those Part 3 units, too. Need about 15-20 more sets. Sewing the corner today.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon. I'm surprised you can still Blog and comment.
Rest and recover. Your health is everything. I like what you did with the colours. Looking forward to seeing it all together, when you are better.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are pretty! So sorry to hear you've got "That" illness. It sure has gone crazy all over the country. Heather brought it home from the hospital right before Christmas, and her hubby and I both got it after her. Not fun, and it took many days before my belly was OK handling food. I hope your system kicks it more quickly for you! (My hubby fought it for only one day, so there's hope)
ReplyDeleteyour blocks are really great colors together--you did well with your color choices--
ReplyDeletehoney-lemon-tea and chicken soup--

I hope that you've seen the doctor. 4 days is several days too long.
ReplyDeleteSorry you are not felling well yet. Fire up that kettle and lots of tea with just a splash of rye for medicinal purposes of course! My friend who has 2 grandchildren...calls them petri dishes(little germ carriers) I am guessing you saw many over the holidays! Take Care...your mystery quilt will wait for you...it won't put itself together...trust me, I have waited and nope not happening!!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are still sick. My husband has had what you describe and it's taken him a good two weeks to finally get back on his feet. I only have 9 blocks finished. It's a slow process. Hope you start feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry you're feeling under the weather. I hope things improve soon. You certainly have plenty of inspiration when you get back to the sewing machine. I love the colours you are working with for On Ringo Lake.
ReplyDeleteWell, your blocks are gorgeous, and they will wait for you patiently! Get well soon. :D
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you are feeling unwell - get better soon!!
ReplyDeleteHope you get better soon! My favourite quilt shop owner says that "fabric doesn't go bad"--it will be patiently waiting for you when you return to your machine.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you feel better soon. You're making a lot of great progress, and your colorway is so wonderful that I'm sure this will be a fantastic quilt when it is finished.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you are still under the weather. It is hard to know when a doctor visit is needed especially for flu symptoms.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lot of effort already put into the quilt along...your assembly line is looking great. Will be awesome.
I love your blocks! Get better soon!
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are lovely. Focus on rest and getting well :)

ReplyDeleteHope you are starting to feel much better. Having the flu is absolutely miserable. Your On Ringo Lake quilt is going to be gorgeous. The blue and gold color combination is very pretty.
