Well January is more than half over and there is only one week to go to finish my UFO of the month. Progress has been made and we are going in the right direction for a possible finish. The backing was pieced from project leftovers, the batting was also pieced from smaller chunks, and the project has been pin basted. I've just been waiting for my strength to return since recovering from the flu so I could tackle the machine quilting. I've decided to do my favourite free motion design of random swirls.
Good choice for the Quilting. Have fun and pace yourself as you get your strength nack. It's gonna be so pretty and have good texture. Always fun to use up all those batting scraps.
I think FM swirls is the perfect answer to your quilting choices. I have not done as much free motion quilting on the long arm as I should. It's an area that needs lots more practice. I like your choice of colors in your Jan. OMG.
Pretty quilt! Love the colors - I am right behind you on the long arm!
ReplyDeleteTake it easy and don't over do it or you might end up back in bed. Glad you are feeling better.

A little at a time - don't want you to relapse. Getting it this far is a lot done on this project considering you have been sick the whole month.
ReplyDeleteHooray for a quilt pieced from leftovers!! Glad you are feeling well enough to do some quilting.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty quilt. I hope you meet your UFO deadline. Take care.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors/fabrics on this UFO -- beautiful. Great for a winter project.
