The month of August is split into 2 parts in my mind... before my fall and after. Before was too busy with preparing for a week vacation, then the vacation (which was so busy I needed a holiday to recover from it), then the fall on the Saturday of vacation week, followed by 2 weeks of pain, working very few hours, not sewing at all, and going to medical appointments. Overall it was a total bust for UFO progress. But healing is slowly happening and I'm so thankful to be pain-free most of the time (except when sitting). So September will be "Tetris Redux". I'll get the border sewn on, and get this baby quilted! Linking up to One Monthly Goal.
Glad to hear recovery is coming along nicely. Tetris is a bright, colorful quilt; it will be fun for you to work on, especially on those days when you're frustrated at the slow parts of healing!
Yikes, that's not an enjoyable half month at all. Glad things are better. I like to use a low table on the counter to work when I can't sit (like a breakfast-in-bed tray) so I don't have to bend over!
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Healing takes time. Don't overdo it...
ReplyDeleteTetris will eventually get done!

ReplyDeleteSlow and easy friend....It will all get done although it seems that is not the truth. Glad to hear you are feeling better.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your fall! Sounds like my two weeks after my broken hip two years ago. Couldn't do much. Blessings,
ReplyDeleteLess pain is a good thing. Maybe sew a seam or two a day ( standing at the machine?) to not overdo but make some progress?
