Clarissa is on the design wall this morning. This is block #15. I try to make each block a little bit different and I like how a few well placed hourglass blocks give this one a diagonal emphasis.
Here are all the blocks together on the design wall. I wanted to see what they would look like all smushed together with no sashing space. I miss the sashing space! I think my goal is to make 5 more blocks. Total # of pieces = 2,160 To see more design walls, hop over to the link up at Small Quilts.
oh! what fun! so glad to see perfectly imperfect blocks! And what I mean is a variety of colour placement.... it's so pleasing to my eye... and so reminiscent of vintage quilts. thank you for sharing. xo
I love this quilt, it's so pretty! 2,160 pieces! Yikes! I just finished a quilt with 1,590 and thought that was crazy! It's looking really good, sashing or no.
That'll be a LOT of tiny triangle Pieces. I love the Blues and browns! Last week, I biggie sized the 150 Canadian Women #65 Block you showed. Mine wasn't as scrappy as yours. The link doesn't work on that Post, FYI. Thanks for sharing.
I've got to make one of these quilts. I even considered sitting down this afternoon and playing with some hourglass blocks. Then I looked at my empty sewing table and remembered my sewing machine is in the repair shop - sigh~
