Green Scrappy Saturday

The RSC colour for May is green, which is one of my favourite colours especially at this time of the year when the grass and leaves are growing and we are surrounded by vibrant juicy greens. I have big scrappy plans for green month but at FSNI last night I only managed to sew one little 5" alternate block for Omigosh. This brings my grand total of alternate blocks to 3!

That's okay because: a) this is a lifelong project and b) we had a blast at FNSI and talked for 5 hours straight! There was a lot of talking and laughing, and not as much sewing!

To see blog links to quilters accomplishing more green things than I did this week, hop over to SoScrappy!

  1. Quilters getting together to sew and not much sewing getting done...I can't imagine that happening!! Good therapy session, I call that!

  2. I like the combination of those two colors together - are the nine patch 1 inch blocks they look pretty small

  3. I'll be using the HST bonus triangles from another project for these blocks. One of these days, I need to cut more fabric, and start making more 4 patch blocks and start on the 4 patch square in a square parts. The local quilt store has ordered me a 1.5" BlocLoc ruler, to square up my bonus triangles.

  7. I love your blocks, a lot of piecing there. Also love the idea of FNSI, I might copy this, I was thinking every second week, however once a month might be more feasible.

  8. Oh, those green blocks are so vibrant and cheerful.
Sometimes we need the talk more than the stitching!

  9. Sounds like you had a fun night. Pretty greens you are showing. I love that there are so many shades and they all work so well together just like in nature.
