I am delighted to have finished the machine quilting on my Votes For Women quilt this week. It is time to step away from the machine, unplug everything, breath deep, and relax with hand stitching this binding. I will savour every stitch because this has been 5 years in the making and it was worth the wait!

Kick back and enjoying your sewing today! As for long term projects.....so many I don't know where to start!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy sewing that binding today on your Votes for Women and congrats :)
ReplyDeleteSewing the binding always seems like the longest part of the project! By that time I'm just itching to have the quilt finished. Yet I do love a hand-stitched binding and always do that for my own quilts too.
ReplyDeleteI have many projects that have been languishing for a while. I must root one out and start working on it again. Thanks for the incentive. Enjoy your binding stitching. I always find that very satisfying.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your binding blitz.

ReplyDeleteVery good on an almost finish to a UFO. Look forward to seeing it when totally finished.
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you got the binding started. So nice to get to that step. I was planning to do that quilt but only got 3 blocks done, guess they are in the orphan block pile.
ReplyDeleteBeen at the hunt camp all week making maple syrup. I took a few projects with me including my hexies. I stitched and stitched till I ran out of papers and fabric. Then it was time to knit.
ReplyDeleteHope you were able to really enjoy your slow stitching time.
