Design Wall Monday - Finished Quilt Top

The Scrap Vortex is finally a quilt top!

I started this quilt in June 2015 and it has used up a ton of scraps. The piano key borders took a long time to prepare and attach, but I'm soooo happy with how it all turned out. It is rich with scrappy fabric memories and completely frenetic - just like my life!
The quilt top measures 59" x 77".
I have a week left in April to get this quilt pin basted, quilted and bound. I feel like I'm on the amazing quilt race TV show...will she reach the finish line in time?!?!

  1. Wow! Look great! I just started my third scrap vortex quilt. This one is being made with brightly coloured flannel scraps and will likely end up being a baby quilt in waiting. (Waiting for a baby to come along so I can gift it!)

  15. It depends on how you want to quilt it! It is possible, you don't need to sleep or work this week, right? At lease you have until Sunday night! =)

  23. I'm glad you included the words in case there was any doubt that this is a scrap vortex. ;) This is so cool. And I really like how the scrappy border contains the inner vortex!

  24. What great density your scrap vortex has. The piano keys border is perfect and looks a bit like Chinese coins we've been discussing. What a fun way to transform this simple but versatile design. Thanks for linking with AHIQ.
