Did you turn your clock ahead one hour last night to adjust to "daylight saving time"? Although it's not as stressful of an event as it was when my kids were young (and the adjustment was simply miserable), it is still a change that takes some getting used to.
Daylight Savings Time! |
So here's my public service announcement:
it is recommended that you enjoy some tea and some relaxing slow stitching time this morning, and then have a nice nap this afternoon, followed by a bit of cyberloafing while you check out the links below, and then do more slow stitching tonight when you can't get to sleep!
While I adjust to the time change, I'll be adding more stitches to my "1 Year of Stitches" project. This is how it looked yesterday on the 70th day of 2017.
To check out the unbelievable project photos posted on instagram click here.
Please link up your blog post below and tell us if you have daylight savings time where you live, and what you'll be hand stitching today.
An InLinkz Link-up
The Spring ahead Daylight Savings is too dark in the morning for kids going to school in my area. I appreciate your encouragement to relax, have a cup of tea and slow stitch. OMGoodness on the Instagram Year of Stitches.
ReplyDeleteI love daylight savings time...I enjoy the extra daylight in the evenings. Spring will soon be here which means there will be walks and stitching in the gazebo after supper.
ReplyDeleteI think it was always the worst when the boys were young and we attended church regularly...I had to be at choir practice at 7:30 prior to singing in two services. Which then turned to 6:30 UGH! :)
ReplyDeleteI guess I am lucky, but the change of time has never bothered me although I am glad to follow your prescription for surviving the change. I am drinking my tea right now as I peruse the other link-ups. Your year of stitches is looking so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love your year of stitches, so pretty! I think I'll take your advice to take it easy today and get some extra applique-time in.
ReplyDeletetime change has always bothered my body and takes several weeks to get used to it and I do not have to get up at any certain time in the morning! I wish it would stay the same year round and not change.
ReplyDeleteLove how your 1 Year of Stitches piece is looking, mine is coming along and the other members pieces are at times amazing. I don't seem to be bothered by the time change, since I was 13 I always get 6 hours of sleep it doesn't matter what time I went to bed. Now as I cruise through early 60's I average 5 hours. I love have the evening daylight hours.
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is beautiful. Love the variegated floss. This time change always annoys me too, and I don't think it really helps anyone. I wish they would keep it the same.
ReplyDeleteBecause my cats are my alarm clock, I got to sleep in. Today it felt like a treat.
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is as beautiful as simple. Love it. ♥
ReplyDeleteI'm doing the cyberloafing, since I just don't want to get started on anything. Not just the time change, it's been a rough week.
ReplyDeleteEvery year in Alabama they talk about doing away with DST. I'm all for it! :)
ReplyDeleteYour stitchery is so lovely. What a wonderful way to adjust to the time change. I use the time change as an excuse to take it easy and have a slow day.
ReplyDeletePerhaps one day we will return to "regular time" permanently, though certainly the animals don't change back and forth, lol! Love your stitchery.
ReplyDeleteI love your wonderful "1 Year of Stitching Project." I've been following the hashtag on Instagram and the works is so pretty! Thank you for sharing and for hosting the party!
ReplyDeleteSo much pretty handwork projects. Love your year of stitching project. Sunday wasn't bad, it hits me the first day of work after time change. Hard to read email when your eyelids are drooping!
