Some quilty friends came over to help supervise the sewing last night. They brought a few refreshments. It was a fun evening filled with conversation, eating snacks, and a bit of sewing.
I had already finished up some leader-ender Alamo Star blocks. The top two blocks were leftover from August, and the two red ones were from September. I wonder what colour we will be sewing with in October?
Last night I worked on sewing my broken dishes blocks for Barb's swap.
You have to make 320 HST blocks for the 80 swap blocks, so that's a lot of cutting, squaring up and sewing.
A lot was accomplished by some of us last night. And some of us had fun playing with the snacks. Halloween Cheetos ... who knew there was such a thing!?!
Hop over to SoScrappy to see what the Rainbow Scrap Quilters are up to this week.
Halloween Cheetos? That's really fun? Lots of fun blocks. Good luck with all those HSTs.
ReplyDeleteI have never seen Halloween Cheetos until now - although Cheetos and white fabrics don't seem to mix well.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great evening. Enjoy the oranges and yellows of October.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, I love your Alamo Stars.
ReplyDeleteThose Halloween Cheetos are fabulous. It sounds like it was a great evening.
ReplyDeleteAs always, I adore those itty bitty stars!
ReplyDelete(And seeing all those broken dishes blocks lately has really been tempting - it's a block that I considered for RSC2016, but bailed on. Now I'm sorry I don't have a binful to play with!)
Halloween Cheetos, eh? Hmmm...
alamo stars are so cute!
ReplyDeleteHmm... be extra careful if "sewing under the influence"!! We wouldn't want any piecing to go awry or
ReplyDeleteSay what? Halloween Cheetos?!? Is that even legal?
ReplyDeleteEspecially love the lower left star!
The Halloween Cheetos are a hoot! I have never seen them before, either! Your star blocks are fun in the different colors! I think the broken dishes swap sounds like a lot of work, but hopefully worth it in the end.
ReplyDeleteWhat will they think of next - Cheeto skulls, ick! You have a big job with those swap blocks. Keep up the good work! Alamo stars are new to me, cute. I visited there years ago when our daughter was stationed there as an Air Force nurse during Desert Storm.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun evening! I would love to see all of your stars up on the design wall...
ReplyDeleteThis sewing can be very thirty work - wink wink. It sounds like a fun night was had.
