Broken Dishes Update
Next up is the MOD Bear Paw QAL, which is more of the same. I will continue to sew more HST blocks but in a brown, smaller version to make into bear paw blocks.

My brain goes numb if I think of that many HSTs at once! : ) But I love them in quilts so I attack them in little bites, like three or four blocks at a time.

Sure love the red fabrics in the HST....lovely.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind sewing HSTs so much - it's the pressing and trimming that gets me down... (Which is why I'd rather sew them to the right size in the first place, rather than sewing oversized and trimming them down. Argh! So much extra work!)

To me the trick is to cut them over sized a hsve a good ruler to trim each hst to the correct size. Yea for my Tucker Trimmer that I have talked about at my Quilt Guild every month this year! Love your swap blocks. Just takes a little extra time to get them right.
