The Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilters are sewing up their light purple scraps this month. Last week I made up some scrappy sprout blocks and this week I worked on a block called "circle of squares". The colours are a little pale and somewhat blah, but when this block is in a quilt it will be a nice contrast with all the other high intensity blocks.
Here it is with the other two blocks made in previous months. I'm really liking it so far! To see what other projects are being worked on this week, hop over to the link up at SoScrappy.
That is such a great block! Thanks for the link to how to make it; I'm saving that one! I agree that even the pale blocks will look great when combined into a quilt with all the other colors.
I'm really liking it too! It's making me want to sign up for next year's RSC! These blocks are really fun. Does everybody choose their own block pattern to use with their scraps?
I especially like your lavender circle. It looks calm and restful. I've seen this block before but did not see its potential until looking at your blocks just now. Hmmm. Maybe I'll make some of these block. --Nancy. (ndmessier @ aol.com, joyforgrace.blogspot.com)
Your circle blocks are going to make an awesome quilt--and the soft lavender is awesome. And the simplicity of the sewing that goes into the circle is quite nifty.
Love the look of these 💖💖
