Scrappy Saturday

Orange is the Rainbow Scrap Challenge colour for the month of April, and I'm just starting to get the scraps pressed and organized. Almost all of my projects need orange blocks added, so I have lofty goals for this month.

I don't have any finished blocks to post today, so I'll show you my favourite Andover orange fabric.
Flummery, horripilation, scrimshanker... don't you love these words!
Try saying them out loud. It's fun!
They are real words. Of course I looked them up!
And one more photo for the rainbow scrappers....

This week I unearthed this old mini quilt that I made in 2003, way before the days of blogging and the RSC. It shows how much I have always enjoyed sewing together brightly coloured scraps.
To see what the rainbow scrappers are up to this week, hop over to SoScrappy.

  1. That's a beautiful quilt. I always think that bright colours have a longer lifetime than fabrics "a la mode". I'm just digging up my orange scraps, too.

  6. LOL. LOVE the thesaurus fabric. I do have a bit of a katzenjammer this morning. A few glasses of water should fix this. Your little mini is just so beautiful and cheerful. I'll make some placemats like that to cheer up some elderly people. They'll love that I am sure. Thanks for the inspiration. Happy orange month! ;^)

  11. Love the thesaurus fabric. Now I know I'm not using the words properly but "I love the ragmatical efflorescence in you luminiferous rainbow mini." I think those were some of the words on the fabric.
