It's Drink Wine Day today! I'll be doing some of that using my new glass that I adore...it is covered in happy faces and shiny beads and says "you can never have too much HAPPY"! This glass makes me feel happier, no matter what it's filled with! It was a near disaster this week when I went to do some machine quilting and the light on my sewing machine was dead. Luckily I was able to pick up a replacement bulb and hardly missed any sewing time.
You sure can tell which of these bulbs is the new one and which is burnt out! Back to the machine to work on another Swoon block.
When the light burned out on my Bernina, I found out that the repairman had to replace it. Not a simple unscrew or pull bulb out and replace. And the bulb cost oh so much.
It is irritating when one is psyched up to sew and can't because of a technicality that we take for granted - the light bulb. Glad u could get a spare.
Love your wine glass, who wouldn't be happy with that glass. As for the bulb...I always keep an extra one around for the machines. I blew one once and had to go without for a few days till I could replace it..never again!!!
If I lost a bulb I'd be out of commission for at least a week because a sewing machine store is a least 50 miles away. Lucky you that you could get going again so soon! That does call for a drink!
Enjoy DWD! I'm sure there are many waiting to join in!
ReplyDeleteIs that your scrap vortex quilt under that wine glass????
ReplyDeleteI didn't know about that day. But it's just perfect for me today. I'm going to grab that opportunity. You're happy to have a sweet glass as that.
ReplyDeleteI will just have to go out and buy some wine. I wouldn't want to miss out on the celebration. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have not yet experience a burnt out light bulb on any of my machines. I am glad you were able to get a replacement quickly.

ReplyDeleteMy Bulb died at a retreat. I could still sew, thankfully, in the daylight. I bought 2 when I replaced it. Have a fun time stitching your Swoon blocks.
