Step #2 of Tucker is on the design wall today. This is the new mystery quilt along over at Pam Buda's. That blue plaid sure jumps out on the computer screen, but I don't think it's such an attention seeker in real life. I did a stay stitch seam around the whole block to keep it a bit more stable and flat. Now I'm sewing step #3 which was posted last Friday.
I think it is an interest of character - I have a couple that look out of place when you photo, but I love the charm of it all.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! I have mine done and am patiently waiting for step 4. Can't wait to see what's next. XO
ReplyDeleteI didn't even notice the blue, but now that you mention it...it does sparkle next to the star. I agree with Vrooman, it's charming!
ReplyDeleteThis is looking great!
ReplyDeleteIt does shine a bit brightly. If you think so later...just tone it down with some crayon colouring!!Looks perfectly scrappy though!!
ReplyDeleteI am doing this SAL, too. I love your fabrics and the plaids give it some zing.
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous colours Kathy! I love those little scissors too :)
ReplyDeleteLooking good. i'm supposing that step 3 is the backing for our Tucker. We shall see on Friday.
ReplyDeleteHope your November sewing goes well.
Very nice, unlike some people I know who got the star points turned the wrong way.
ReplyDeleteAre you as curious as I am to see how step 3 fits in?
I just love this SAL--I actually sent for a bundle of shirtings--they are so hard to find around here....
ReplyDeletePretty good! I am curious to see the reveal next friday.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great scrappy block.
