For some unknown reason my blog lost a lot of photos today. Perhaps it was just a random computer gremlin? I started reloading some photos that I still have on my computer for the posts from the past couple of weeks, including the photo on the blog header that just evaporated. But then I realized that my blog is actually missing most of the photos going back about three years. Yep...about 5 YEARS of photos are GONE. That is way worse (for me) than fabric being gone. Is this another "let it go" lesson for me? I have no idea what to do about this and am open to suggestions. Did you ever wonder what more than 70" of a quilt shoved into the harp of a domestic sewing machine looks like. Now you know! It has been a real workout! This is a test to see if the photo will actually show up on the blog. Yes... I see it. Now, will it still be there tomorrow? We shall see. I won't hold my breath!
I'm so sorry to hear that! Did you know that most of your photos for Blogspot are stored on Picasa? You can access that from the "create a post" page on blogger. When you try to load a photo, instead of going to your computer (the Upload tab), at the top is a tab that says "from Picasa Web Albums". All of your photos should be there. If they're not, then I don't know what to tell you! Hope this helps you!
Have you been deleting photos from your computer? I think that's how some of them disappear, but I'm not 100% sure about that,so don't quote me! Good luck figuring it out!
^^ What KaHolly said...that's happened to me. I use Google with Blogger and if I delete a photo from Google Photos it is taken from everywhere it's been posted that is Google connected, blog included. So now I never delete them... But I hear ya on the gremlins...I call them the Google Gremlins...they mess with my photos all the time!
oh no....I went back to your archives and looked around ( Feb, I think ) and I see what you mean! I am WP so I have no clue about Blogger issues but I hope that you can get it resolved. So sorry / what a horrible hassle :(

I have gone back through my archived blogs at times and see that there are missing photos. No idea why this happens... but they are gone. Sorry you are missing photos too. Must be a Blogger thing....
It happened to my blog when I closed down my pc and moved to a laptop. I'd wiped Picasa off and so when I downloaded it again on the laptop my previous photos had all gone! So frustrating because I'd lost the memory stick with most of the missing pics on and can't replace them in posts duhhh Good luck, hope you get better results!
When I changed computers, because it crashed I lost some photos. The Blog is linked to the files on the computer somehow so I lost some pictures too. Frustrating!
If some photos are missing it may be just a glitch with google...heavens knows we bloggers have had many over the years. Or, you may have deleted some photos with your Picasa Web albums...they should stay there until you delete them. I have several old blogs that have been inactive for some time...the photos are still there. It should not have anything to do with photos saved to your hard drive...but do not quote me.
Best thing to do....backup your blog!!! Go to "settings", click "other"...click "Export blog". Your blog as of the day you downloaded it to your hard drive with be saved if you lose anything...including your whole blog which happened to me one time. If you should accidently delete anything you can then go to settings again, click "other" and then "import blog".
Yucky!! I hope they magically reappear!

Looks like the picture issue resolved itself. How scary.
