Thanks for all the encouragement and suggestions that were offered for my scrappy spools layout last Saturday. I have started to sew the diagonal spool rows and am using my little purple Alamo Star blocks for leader/enders. These are the blocks that were finished this week, which means 16 seams per block x 4 blocks for a total of more than 100 spool seams sewn :) To see more purple scrap projects, hop over to SoScrappy.
Your stars look great; I like the color combos you've chosen. Until I read Mystic Quilter's comment, I didn't realize that the blocks would have a secondary pattern of circles. Coooool! I am encouraged by your 2015 UFO list! I was hoping I could get 12 done in a year. Hoped being the operative word. I'm glad to see you're keeping up! Those Bonnie Hunter quilts are always a challenge: so many pieces! Good luck on your 12, now 9, quilts this year!
I like how these turned out and really like the material you are using. .
ReplyDeleteThat's a whole lot of sewing with such lovely blocks at the end.
ReplyDeleteCute and sweet...as always. Looking forward to your spool quilt. I need ideas for mine!
ReplyDeleteLove the "circle" appearing with these blocks.

ReplyDeleteSmashing, as always!
ReplyDeleteLovin' the little purple stars. : )
ReplyDeleteLeaders and enders sounds like a great way to keep chipping away at all those seams.
ReplyDeletePretty blocks... you've matched up your colors so nicely!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of spools sewn together. Glad you had the alma's prepped for in between. They are looking great.
ReplyDeleteThese little blocks will add up - but they sure are tiny!
ReplyDeleteYour tiny little blocks are precious!
