Today I am appliqueing little yellow circles/moons onto black and white HST blocks.
I was inspired by a RSC project that Julie is making - you can see her blocks here.
I recently bought myself a new Jansjo LED lamp. I first saw this light on Bonnie Hunter's blog, and have been on the lookout for one ever since. I finally found them, bought two (one for me and one for a friend) and just love it! It has a solid base so it won't tip over. It has a long flexible neck for easy positioning, and it has a focused pool of light which is perfect for hand stitching.
I am really enjoying using up some of my yellow scraps under the supervision of my quilting angel. She was a gift from my friend Susan.
To see what the quilters are sewing with their yellow scraps this week, hop over to SoScrappy.
Cool on getting a new lamp for hand quilting. I love that the group inspires each other with each project that we do. Your blocks look great. Love the supervision of the quilt angel. Happy quilting!

ReplyDeleteoh...guild challenge. Ours is due next month and I've not even taken the fabric or the instructions out of the envelope yet! Sadly no yellow in ours.
ReplyDeleteI love that lamp too - depending on the project it is so easy to bend it right where I need to see. I have a spare ready for action since I don't get to IKEA that often. It's a must have for me.
