This week I have been working on the pumpkin seed quilt. I had many aqua blocks, but no blue ones. So I have been rectifying that and completed two blue blocks - one light and one dark, plus have stitched seeds for three more blocks.
The selection of which blue thread to use for each block was fun. Note to self: I have a nice variety of blue threads and should not buy any more! LOL To see more rainbow challenge posts, hop over to SoScrappy.
Very nice blue Pumpkin Seeds! Do you have any tricks for keeping your hand sewing threads from knotting while you sew? I have been using bees wax but it doesn't seem to stop that knotting mess!! hugs, Julierose
There are so many shades of blue, it's good to have a variety. My scrappy Saturday will be putting some more of my Grand Illusion together. I think I finally have a plan for what I want to do to make it MINE!
Since blue is my favorite color, you can imagine that I have tons of blue threads too ... but interestingly enough, I often don't have just the right shade for a particular project .... so I keep buying more .... :*)
Those are great blocks of blue. Lots of choices in those threads. I invite you to link to WIPs Be Gone as you progress on this RSC15. Thanks for sharing!
What pretty blue threads. I'm the same way with blue fabrics ... I did a little stash enhancement today, and I made sure that I stayed out of the blue fabrics area. It wasn't easy, but I managed. ha!
Hi Kathy, I'm just back to looking at my reading pane and saw your blocks. I'm working on some orange peel blocks for a row by row quilt. I thought it ironic and just had to post. I hope everything been good; Happy New Year and hopefully I'll be back a lot sooner than later.
Pretty little pumpkin seed blocks Kathy. And some lovely shades of blue thread. They make me want to reach out an play with them. LOL
