I think I've decided on a light floral inner border, followed by the pieced border, and then the blue floral border. I'm not sure about the corner units yet, but am moving closer to a finished quilt top :)

It's looking great! *waving the cheerleading pom poms* Go Kathy!
ReplyDeletelooks good, can't wait to see it finished
ReplyDeleteThe perfect choice, the floral gives the blocks room to breathe. Now I'm kind of ready to get mine out and play with an alternate setting. Great job so far.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt--I like the floral fabric a lot...hugs from what is to become snow country brrr
ReplyDeletehugs, Julierose
I really really like you material choice in this quilt. Great job.
ReplyDeleteYour version of the Grand Illusion quilt top is one that I can see the block design well.
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun to see the many interpretations of the Grand Illusion design. Your soft floral looks cozy.
ReplyDeleteThat will be a nice finish to it.
ReplyDeleteGreat layout and I the planned borders sound so pretty. Can't wait to see it all together.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you have matched up the border units with the blocks. I've seen on several blogs that they don't understand why Bonnie's border didn't match up that way. And I think the floral border makes it a more cohesive whole! Good choices.
ReplyDeleteWow - you're doing a great job on that Kathy! You'll be finished before you know it! I am glad I didn't start this one since my quilting has had to take a back seat lately, and it looks like a pretty detailed design. Perhaps next year though.
ReplyDeleteYOur Mystery will be uniquely yours. Glad it 's getting closer to the Flimsy. I still have to stitch my Blocks together for the Link-up later this week. I had to catch up on the Downton Abbey mystery today.
ReplyDeleteI like the lighter border. You are moving right along on getting this one all finished up.
