Here are the first 16 blocks finished and arranged in different ways on the design wall.I have all the pieces cut and the HST's made for the remaining blocks (plus the 40 HST's to "set aside for another day") and my plan is to sew them tonight during QuiltCam. It was fun that during the first step we got to play with 4 of our 6 fabrics. It looks a little bit busy now, but just you wait until the steps progress, and it morphs each week into something completely different!

Love the different choice of fabrics, Kathy! I thought the same thing about using more than 2 fabrics. Gotta get stitching this week to catch-up. I had way too much fun cuddling and playing with grandchildren last week.
ReplyDeleteI haven't made any of Bonnie's quilts - I always like them but I never really want to go through all those scraps and larger pieces to find enough of each color grouping - I'm lazy I guess

I spent all day yesterday trying to pick my colours only to discover I DON'T have enough fabric in my stash!! haha Ted was not laughing!!I am trying to use my stash and so far have come up with blues, red, plaid with red hearts, black and cream fine pin stripe. And after all that I just need a black.

ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your first comment that you have been "slowly working" on clue #1. The fact that you are finished with it proves there was nothing slow about your work. Fun to see the different possibilities you have tried. : )
