Orange was the colour for September over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.
I wasn't quite ready to move to the October colours since I hadn't sewn a single orange block for my Omigosh quilt yet.
A while ago I received a card from a wonderful friend that included some 1" orange scraps.
I enjoyed sewing up her scraps mixed in with my own orange squares, and sewed 6 double nine patch blocks.
That brings my grand total of double 9 patch blocks to 54!
I am now ready to move on to some of the darker golds and browns for October.

Congratulations for the 54 blocks! Orange is always such a cheerful and attractive color! It makes me feel in a good mood just to look at it!
ReplyDeleteYour orange nine patches are great! So glad you got them in before moving on to the darker shades. Omigosh is coming along nicely. Definitely one of those quilts to help you slow down and enjoy the process.
ReplyDelete54 Wow! Your orange blocks are so cheerful especially on a dreary day like today(well here in my neck of the woods)
ReplyDeleteI was just thinking that you could embroider some pumpkin shapes in the plain squares of a few and make a small fall quilt.
ReplyDeleteYou keep teasing me with your Omigosh quilt eye candy and it is really making me want to make something with teeny-tiny pieces too!
ReplyDeleteSo many pretty blocks! :)
ReplyDeleteI need to go and look at that OMIGOSH pattern . . . your blocks are so enticing!
ReplyDeleteThose are really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteKudos on all those double 9-patch blocks! they look like orange creamsicles--yummy! Hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of Orange. Have fun with your Browns and golds this month. I'm saving my scraps fro the 2014 Mystery. Once she tells us the colors and fabric requirements I can cut some of my large bag of Scraps to size.
ReplyDeleteOmigosh is right! Such tiny pieces in those blocks. They look great. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI am going to be SO jealous when you get this quilt done! I may have to start one of my own next year :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE OMG quilts!!! The orange made some really happy blocks!
ReplyDeleteOmigosh! Yours looks great. Makes me think I should restart my effort...I ran into some precision issues...
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're catching up with the orange. I have the spools left to do before I can tidy up the orange bits for this year. The OMG quilt blocks are lovely. Orange sherbet anyone?
ReplyDeleteLove these colours!
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking I'm liking orange right now. So many neat blocks being done with this color challenge.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I am ever finished with orange!! Love it--and your OMG blocks are so cute!

ReplyDeleteLove the orange blocks! I really need to find something to do with all the little bits of 'extra' cuts on the floor by the cutting mat. Ohmygosh or string pieces?
