TGIF - Sew Alongs

I love a mystery sew along. You can probably tell because I am involved in a few of them and I will update 3 of my current sew alongs in this post!
*The last Marcus Sew Along mystery block will be revealed today - click here to see it. These are my first 8 blocks.

Next week will be the layout reveal, and it is likely that I will need to go shopping for some fabric for the alternate blocks, since I have just been using scraps so far. There are setting triangles in the quilt description, so the layout will be on point and I need yardage for that.

*I am also trying to keep up with these little 4" letter blocks from the Temecula sew along. Aren't they cute?!?

*BeaQuilter has a sew along just starting over at Island Batiks. This is a smaller project, so if you are new to mystery quilts, it's the perfect project for you to try.  I am ready to start cutting into these beauties!
Have a great Friday!

  1. All three look like fun mysteries to be playing along with. I've done a few mystery quilt alongs, but none this year.

  2. I have only ever done one mystery quilt and that was at the LQS years before blogland was invented. It was great fun. Your blocks are looking fabulous

  3. You do realize I always get into trouble when I read your blog, right? That is a very tempting new mystery quilt along..... I don't think I have 1/2 yard cuts... will have to go digging.

  4. I like the SEW-Alongs too. Just have to watch these from afar this time. I want to make the letters. Gotta finish some more stuff first!

  6. I like how some of your Marcus Fabric blocks look three dimensional.
The little letters are about the only thing I'm managing to keep up with. I'll share mine on Sunday. Yours are awesome.

  7. I have never participated in a mystery quilt. I am looking into Island Batik right now. I wonder if I have the time?...

  8. Oh, those batiks looks so great. Hum, should I even look at the sew along? I'm trying to finish things this year and I've already started several new pieces. Sigh.

Well, if I do finish it with some fabric I do have enough but then again... Naaaaahh!!! I need to go shopping :D Love your blocks. My favorite one is still the little baskets.
