My internet access has finally been repaired and I am back in blog land again. That was tough being separated from y'all! I look forward to visiting the Slow Sunday Stitching links from last weekend, and hopping around blog land to see what you have been sewing.
Are you keeping up with the Marcus mystery quilt?
I must say that I am enjoying working with the 8" block size. And after sewing for almost 25 years, it's a treat to try new block patterns that I haven't seen before. This is my version of block #6 called "Four Plus". It's my favorite one so far, but I think I say that every Friday!
I like this block too
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous block! Your fabric choices really helped that along. So glad you are back!
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back - my son has asked me how we managed without the internet and related technology. I told him 'if someone's phone was busy...we called back later' and we made visits to the library. I can't imagine living without the internet now!!
ReplyDeleteLove the block - I may have to make these blocks later.
Everything is on the web, but I am sure we would manage somehow. So glad you are back and able to catch up with us. Thanks again for the reminder that it is friday again. I haven't done last weeks block yet but will get to it this weekend as DH is gone for the weekend. I have big plans for the weekend, must finish binding two quilts and maybe a third if I get the call it is quilted. So that will mean a lot of slow stitching on Sunday!!
ReplyDeleteLovely block!
ReplyDeleteWe take so much of our lifestyle for granted. It is amazing how bereft we feel when something is out of action.
What a great block! Hmmmm. That would be neat in rainbow colors.....
ReplyDeleteGlad you are back in touch and on blogland.
I think this is my favorite block too. I can't wait to see how this is all going to go together.
ReplyDeleteLife without internet??? Noooo!
I missed you and I'm glad you are back.
It is a beauty. I really like this pattern, and your fabric selections. You've used a couple of fabrics that I wish I still had in my stash. : )
ReplyDeleteLove your version of Four Plus!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Your version of Four Plus is very lovely. I don't like mine; it's too dark and crooked :( But it sure is fun to try new blocks. Enjoy your blog hopping to catch up.
ReplyDeleteUnlike you I have not done any of the blocks yet, I plan to do them when I have downloaded them all as I get confused!! working out what fabrics to use where if you know what I mean. Good your internet is up and working again
ReplyDeleteThe Marcus sew-along blocks have been interesting ones and tempting to jump in. I am busy with other projects and just not enough time in the day to do it. I agree with you that it is the best block design.
ReplyDeleteCute Blocks and Fabrics! You tempt me to start this SAL every week also. I hear my Civil War Fabrics calling.
ReplyDeleteI felt your pain all of last week! LOL
ReplyDeleteOh I just love that block. I have civil war reproduction fabric that I have been saving for the right project. This block might be it.
