Aren't they so pretty?!?
I wonder if I will ever finish this project since I still love making these blocks?!?
Do you want to see how many I have made so far?
This many!
They are only 2.25" so it's a very small container, but the collection sure looks pretty!
I definitely need more dark background blocks, so I'll try to work on that.
I also finished some miniature double 9 patch blocks for my Omigosh quilt. I finished 2 green blocks from last month, and 2 yellow blocks for June. That brings my block total for this project to 45.
To see more yellow postings, hop over to SoScrappy. The best thing about the last Saturday of the month is anticipating what the colour for next month will be!
Great progress this month. What a great stack of Alamo Stars. As long as you aren't tired of them yet, it seems like a great way to keep using up scraps. Happy yellow day!
ReplyDeleteIt boggles the mind ( mine, anyway ) to conceive of a block that tiny! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are amazing
Your eye sight is excellent to be able to make such small Alamo Star blocks and 9 patch. They are adorable! I am sure they will make stunning quilts once they get sewn together.
ReplyDeleteI would have had trouble coming up with much of anything in yellow scraps. You evidently had a lot. Your pile of rainbow pieces looks so pretty in the side view.
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your huge pile of blocks. I'm guessing that's from last year too, as I can see colours we haven't had yet.
ReplyDeleteI have looked and looked at Omigosh and have thought numerous times that I wanted to make it - maybe one day
ReplyDeleteI just LOVE little blocks. I'm really in love with those Alamo Stars.
ReplyDeleteI love all your little blocks. What a lot of patience you must have. the effect is going to be spectacular when you do put everything together.

ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't realize you had so many little Alamo stars! If you enjoy making them, maybe you will end up with of full bed size quilt out of the little beauties.
ReplyDeleteYour Omigosh blocks look great. I'm hoping that by watching you make that quilt it will satisfy my craving to do so. : )
Perhaps you won't stop making the little Alamo blocks and instead of a single quilt, they will become a series. They are adorable.
ReplyDeleteThey are so small but completely charming! Maybe they'll make up into a doll quilt :)
ReplyDeleteAs always, your work is amazing!! love these blocks. will you add a border to it? do you have any ufos that need to be adopted? cant wait to see this one when it is done

ReplyDeleteWozer! 2 and 1/4" blocks. Amazing. By hand or machine? No matter they are darling. No wonder you are having so much fun with them. They must make up pretty darn fast. Love the photo of all of them stacked up.
ReplyDeleteLove the Alamo star blocks. I can't believe how many you've done. THey will look amazing when all sewn together xx

ReplyDeleteLoooove the stack of star blocks... SEW cool!
ReplyDeleteLove the box of Alamo blocks - I'd love to run my fingers through all that lovely color! And you've done such a lot on the OMG quilt. I keep thinking that would be a great quilt for my crumbs, but then I don't ever start. Wonder what is keeping me from starting ....? Could it be the 900,000,000,000,000,000+ pieces it would require? LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI so admire you doing such tiny fiddly blocks and so many too, this is going to be a pretty spectacular quilt
ReplyDeleteThose Alamo Stars are going to be gorgeous when you get them all into a quilt.
