Over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge, the colour for this month is yellow. I did a quick inventory of yellow blocks for my projects and discovered that I really don't need many more yellow spools since I made a lot of them last year.
So I will focus on some of my other scrap projects this month. This week I am sorting tiny batik scraps for some Alamo Stars. This is my scrap sorting table, with my yellow cutting mat, yellow ruler and yellow rotary cutter! Fun!
I also want to prepare some yellow pumpkin seed blocks, and some double nine patch blocks for Omigosh, but I haven't finished sewing the green ones from last month yet!
Hop over to SoScrappy to see what other quilters are stitching with their yellow scraps.
Your Alamo Stars will be adorable in Yellow. Thanks for joining in to Scraphappy Saturday.

ReplyDeleteGood planning! You've got your projects for RSC lined up for the month. Can't wait to see those adorable Alamo stars in yellow.
ReplyDeleteWill you be taking some pumpkin seeds to Quilt Canada to poke at when you have some down-time? (Although I don't believe there WILL be down-time, lol)
ReplyDeleteYellow is my favorite color~
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a yellow cutting mat!
ReplyDeleteI would have trouble finding much in the line of yellow in my scrap basket. I use the little pieces of it in applique for flower centers, etc.
What colorful, beautiful scraps!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing some happy yellow Alamo stars!
ReplyDeleteYellow is a great color for Spring! Are you getting some garden colors finally up there?
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful projects and lots of fun working on them! Enjoy your scrappy weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteThe yellow pumpkin seeds and nine patches will be pretty. Nice scrap collection.
ReplyDeleteMy problem would be where to draw the line between yellow and orange! Is this one yellow orange, or orange yellow? Probably only an obsessive person like me would even worry about such a thing. : )
ReplyDeleteIt seems an appropriate color to play with during the sunny days of June (at least they are sunny in my neck of the woods).
Lots of pretty scraps to play with!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful array of colors on display! Love the yellow cutter and matt. Dare I say some yellow scissors might be found this weekend?
ReplyDeletesome of those scraps look tiny, we do not seem to be able to buy cutting mats here in the UK in anything but dark green, love your yellow one
