The design wall is full of triangle stars this week. I have loosely constructed the 6 stars and am not liking this quilt yet. It seems too much like hard work at this stage, but I know that if I persevere, eventually things magically improve and the quilt starts to grow on me :)To see more design wall postings, hop over to Patchwork Times.

ReplyDeleteI think your stars look great and you really are doing such a great job of showing the tumbling blocks in the centers.
ReplyDeleteStars are wonderful but if you are not loving it you could always add some sort of alternating block or something so you don't have to make so many.

ReplyDeleteI really like these stars, too. I hate it when quilting starts feeling too much like work, though ... maybe if you leave them on the wall for a while and work on something else, you'll start missing them and want to get back to them ;-)
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh because I, too, am not thrilled with what's on my design wall right now. That's why I have to have several things going on at the same time. I can put up with something that doesn't thrill me because I can always switch to something that does: a reward for working on the other. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThey look just fine. I like all the shades that make them twinkle! Give it a few more weeks and it should be worth the extra work.

Put the quilt on a hiatus. Let it rest ... or you rest. Pull out an easy to finish piece and work on it. You'll look at your gorgeous stars with new eyes once you've taken a little break. I tend to make easy quilts but I'm thinking it is time to tackle something, anything that is hard just for the challenge. (Ugh, do I really want a challenge?)
