This week has been much too busy. Between work, and doing outside yard work, and my son having his wisdom teeth removed, there is not much time leftover. But we all know that I must squeeze in a few minutes of sewing in order to maintain my sanity!
So I set up my Featherweight on the kitchen table and sewed a few log cabin seams every time I walked by. The blocks are growing bigger slowly (the logs are 1" strips) but surely.
Every stitch counts... and flowers help too!
I love your log cabin blocks! And yes...every stitch counts! I need to get another sewing project started today. I hate not being in the middle of something! LOL

ReplyDeleteKathy these look fantastic! Just letting you know that I am doing a link party starting tomorrow for goal setting for the month. You made me think of myself with my quilting frame set up and quilting a little bit every chance i get. It all adds up to a finished project without the effort

ReplyDeleteSewing is the sanity for a lot of us I think! It is amazing how a few stitches here and there can really add up. Hope your son is recovering... I remember going to six flags two days after I got mine out! I think mine was a very easy recovery. Hope his is as well.

I think I might copy you and set up my featherweight on the table. Great idea and every seam is progress.
i love log cabin blocks. as always your eye for color combos shines through. your blog today made me realize how lucky i am. although being disabled sucks, the bright side is that i can pick up my needle and thread and piece or quilt whenever i want to, as lon g as i have fabric. thank you for that and i hope your son is feeling better. barbara babsorbitt at gmail dot com

ReplyDeletetrust he is feeling better now, not nice having to have wisdom teeth out. Blocks look good, I find log cabin a pain as the slightest deviation from a straight line is so obvious, you certainly do not deviate
