I am playing in pink land! I did a lot of sorting and cutting of scraps this week and have started making my 1" strips into 9 patch blocks for Omigosh. It's slow sewing, without much to show yet... just having fun!
Did you see the pink Dragon Fruit we enjoyed last Sunday? What could be better than pink fruit?!?! I guess it would be better if the inside was pink too - it's white! To see more pink postings, hop over to the Rainbow Scrap Challenge link up.
Wow, what an under takings with 1 inch strips... but everything is pretty in pink, so it will be worth it! Just a few comments on recent posts... Max is the cutest four-legged guy I've ever seen... what a trooper in the snow! And I love the memory comic you posted some days ago... it hits home!!!
Yes it is slow isn't it. When I made mine I was at my monthly quilt group and another lady made a pieced pillow in the same time it took me to make the block. We did all agree though that my block probably had more pieces, just very little ones.
Sewing one inch strips would be very slow going. Takes a long time to get anything of any size when starting that small. But it sure will be Omigosh fabulous when done.
Cute and Tiny 9-patches. I made some more 1-1/2" 4-patches today. I am trying to not let my Midnight Flight become a UFO. I started last March and it's almost a year old , I hope to finish it and have it quilted by the 20th of next month.
Such a beautiful looking pink fruit! Did it taste as good as it looked? Lots of pretty little pink scraps getting sewn there, looking forward to the completion.
The tiny 9 patches are sweet, but I can't see myself making a whole quilt of them. I have so many other things I want to do. I googled dragon fruit and it is reported as being extremely healthy. I've never seen one, so I will just have to imagine the healthy taste, and all those little seeds. Yours, however, certainly matched your patchwork.

Wow 1"strips is tiny! As you say it's going to take time before you have anything to show. I admire your patience!
ReplyDeleteI'm working on small 9 patches, too! Mine are 1 1/2" strips, which seems crazy enough, but 1"? It is slow going, I agree, but fun all the same.
