Scrappy Saturday - It's Pink!

February is pink month over at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. Pink is one of my favorite colours, so I have a lot of pink scraps. What a wonderful range to work with in this colour, from dark raspberry pink to bright bubblegum pink to soft cherry blossom pink... yum! Even the names are fun!

I have just started to dig through the scraps and get them organized for my various projects.
I also found a pink and green tablerunner kit that I have had for many years, which is going to the top of the sewing list since it's pink month. It would be nice to have this finished in time for spring.

There are still many blue spools in my leader/ender  pile to finish up, and I just cut a pile of pink ones to start on. I couldn't resist sewing up a few to put on the design wall...aren't they so pretty? I just love the scrappy backgrounds on these blocks too!
Today I am going to do a lot of cutting for the mystery quilt tomorrow and for some Alamo Star blocks.
Hop over to SoScrappy to see what delights other scrap quilters are sewing up in pink.

  3. Next to blue ..pink is one of my favs too! Don't you just love sewing these little blocks on you featherweight. I have been using mine lately too, it is too sweet not to sew on it!!!I will have to invest in a extension table for it. I find sewing anything larger than a block it a bit cumbersome.

  6. Do you think pink was a random selection, or was it a purposeful choice for the upcoming holiday?
Look at you--the first day of pink and you are already in the thick of it! : )

  21. Just catching up on all the RSC posts. It takes a while this year! I have 3 inch spools left over from last year carrying over to this year too. It's fun to look at them all and I think they will make such a cute rainbow quilt.

  22. Very pretty pink spools! There is just something about pink that says happy, maybe because it's so closely associated with spring?

  23. You sound like a busy, busy girl! Your little spool blocks are cute. I think I need to come to your house; I don't have many pinks. Blue was sooo easy!
