I did a mid month switcheroo when I realized I would not have enough time to finish my regularly scheduled UFO. And in the last two weeks, I was able to baste, quilt and bind the chosen UFO. Phew! This quilt has a softer colour palette than I usually work with, but I am happy with how it turned out. The fabrics are a combination of my stash and my friend Marion's stash.
This is a photo of the quilt from the back, but it's too dark and you can't really see the quilting. This is how the machine quilting looks close up in one of the blocks and in the border.

Such a pretty and soothing color combo in this quilt. Congrats on yet another UFO busted! Mine did not get finished--making me 4 for 8 at this point. But I'll keep slogging away.
Oh Kathy! What a darling finish! So happy you were able to meet your UFO deadline. And yes----this is a softer color palette than what I use too, but sometimes we need to jump out of our comfort zone; it certainly lead to a wonderful finish.
