I have been working on my Dotty Sweet Treats blocks for Judy's quilt along. Judy's quilt top is finished and you can see it here. I only have 6 blocks finished, but have lots of strips cut out and partial blocks sewn.
It has been fun to figure out which colours to put together in each block. Some of the greens don't seem to play well together, but I like each one of them, so they're all staying in the quilt. I might just have to separate them in the quilt layout a bit more.
Are you making a Sweet Treats quilt? I am heading over to the Patchwork Times blog to see if anyone else has posted blocks...if you want to come along, click here.
Looks good! I changed the border after posting the instructions so please check the edit on Step 4. The 4" squares I used in my border looked kinda clunky and I think the 3" squares look better. By changing from 4" to 3", that changes the size of the final 2 borders.
ReplyDeleteYour blocks are so colorful and fun. This is going to be a very happy quilt.
ReplyDeleteEverybodys Sweet Treats look so different: color really counts. I like what you have done and can see a fun quilt showing up soon.
ReplyDeletethis is just lovely! love hers too but I love yours more I think, I don't really care for all the orange in the others, can't wait to see more though, they will all look nice in their own way :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun quilt!
ReplyDeleteLove your fabrics in this quilt and it looks like you have a great variety to choose from and that sounds like a party to me!
ReplyDeleteLove the Dotty prints. I have to spend time on Monday checking out the Thumbnails at DWM with Judy L. DH says I'm addicted...
ReplyDeleteYour polka dots are so fun. Love the bright colors. Don't feel too bad, I've only got 6 of the blocks done too, though there are more in progress.
ReplyDeleteI adore all the dots! Glad you're keeping up with this and having a good time :)
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love polka dots! I have a collection left from a couple of quilts I made...this would be a fun pattern...just cut them all into strips and sew blocks! Nice for another baby quilt.
ReplyDeleteIf you have enough greens that won't play well, they'll just have to get along eh? LOL
Jacqui
