Design Wall Monday #7

It has been a pathetic sewing week for me this week. I haven't had much time to sew, and the time I did have was spent doing "grunt" work, like pin basting, joining batting scraps, cleaning up the cutting table, and sewing together backings. Necessary tasks, but I am really tired of them.
On my design wall is exactly the same project as last week, with a few added blocks. I am definitely leaving in the dark blue, since the feedback from last week's post was unanimous to leave it in.
I have also been creating a memory book from last year's quilt retreat. I make a Blurb book each year full of photos and highlights of our annual retreat. I highly recommend Blurb if you are interested in making a blog book. You can transfer all your blog posts over to their program with the push of a button, and design your own book. Their program is easy to use, compatible with Macs, their customer service is great and I have always been happy with my books. No affiliation, just a happy customer for 5 years.
So now I'm back to sewing and hope to make some progress this week!

I am going to check out Blurb. I really would like a hard copy of my blog, thanks.
I was over busy last week and didn't do much commenting-your green shamrock is really sweet!

  3. Those necessary tasks are a pain but feel good once taken out of the way for the fun parts! I have wanted to do a blog book so thanks for the info. I think this may be the site my daughter used to make books for her engagement and wedding photos too.

  7. Sometimes the necessary tedium of sewing catches up. Hopefully all the drudgery will be done soon enough and you can be back at it again. On the bright side, even a bad day quilting is better than a good day at work.

  8. Hope this next week is more productive. I'm in the same boat you are, not much done and what did get done is not a design wall thing.
