I had a great time making these little 4 patch blocks. Don't tell
Bonnie, but I could have made
150 more!! I have been so busy the last couple of weeks, that it was a real treat to sit down and chain sew all these little pieces. It was very quiet sewing at night, and I didn't get any pages to come into work, so I finished all the sewing for
step #1. I ended up only needing to use 4 of my
Jo Morton fat quarters, so I still have two FQ's (the golden one and the blue one) to use somewhere else in the quilt. Here is a photo of
my finished 4 patches.
wow! look at all those 4 patches!!! I may have to check this orange crush thing out, I have a ton of 4 patches that I've been using as my leader enders and I haven't quite figured out what to do with them.
ReplyDeleteKathy - if you want to make 150 more you can do mine - lol !! No seriously I'm going to make a start tomorrow. DH has been off work all week and I get NOTHING done when he is home. He is working all weekend so I will be sewing like a mad thing :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, they look so pretty laying there.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you didn't sew any of the same colors together. YEA - neither did I!! We have kind-of the same colors, tho mine are a bit more scrappy.
Way to go! Isn't it great to be done and waiting for the next step? I know by the end I'll be working harder to keep up, but it's nice to start off right. Your colors are beautiful

Love your 4-patches. Great colors.
ReplyDeletegreat progress on your orange crush...I must start on mine before the next clue comes out!
ReplyDeleteSo little time! LOL
Great coice on fabric selection. LOL. I have not yet made a mystery quilt but this one does look like fun. Do I need to start another quilt? I think I will stop by and see how your quilt goes.
